This still-life is of sea glass that I got from the upper peninsula. I collect sea glass every summer when my family goes up there. To set up this still-life, I got a white piece of printer paper and set it outside. I arranged the sea glass in different positions until I got the four photos I liked. I chose to photograph sea glass because it reminds me of Lake Michigan and the beach.
This still-life is of 4 eggs from my back yard. I have 6 chickens and 5 of them are hens so we get all our eggs from them. I took these pictures on Monday and today is Friday and we already ave 12 eggs. To get these photographs I set up the egg carton on a blank piece of printer paper. I moved the eggs around in the carton until I found a position I liked.
I chose to do this still-life because candy corn is only really sold in October and September and those are my favorite months. It is also a representation of Halloween which is my favorite holiday. To create these still-lives, I got a hand full of candy corn and some blank printer paper. I arranged the candy corn on the paper until I found something I liked.
I chose to photograph petoskey stones because they have always been a part of my life. My family and I have been collecting petoskey stones in the UP since I was little. To set up this still-life, I found a few petoskey stones from around my house and some white paper. I set the paper and the stones up outside on a table on my deck. I placed the stones in different positions that I liked and I came up with the four photos above.
